The 2nd annual World Cup series is a world-class invitational wakeboarding and waterskiing events sanctioned by the International Water Ski Federation (IWSF), with stops to be held in 4 major cities
around the world:
France – June (wakeboarding)
Russia – July (waterskiing)
Russia – September (wakeboarding)
Ireland – September (waterskiing)
Singapore – October (wakeboarding) |

The concept of the World Cup is to bring together the worlds best athletes in a showcase event in prime locations.
The 2nd HSBC Wakeboard World Cup Singapore will be the final
stop of the
2005 World Cup series.
35 of the world’s top wakeboard athletes (25 men & 10 women) will be invited by the World Cup committee to
participate in this event that will offer a USD$50,000.00 cash purse.

Grand prix points will be award to athletes at each
wakeboard world cup stop and a USD$30,000.00 bonus cash purse will be made payable to the
Overall Series
Champions (male & female)
at the end of the series. |
A USD$30,000.00 bonus cash purse will awarded to the top male and female riders who have accumulated
the highest grand prix points after all 3 Wakeboard World Cup stops (France, Moscow & Singapore). This bonus cash purse will be distributed in Singapore:

Wakeboarding is a freestyle sport that has developed from surfing and waterskiing,
with influences from
skateboarding and snowboarding. Wakeboarding is the fastest growing watersport in the world with
competitors performing flips, tricks, spins and a variety of other gravity-defying aerial stunts, sometimes as
high as 20-feet in the air.
VENUE
The competition venue is Bedok Reservoir, considered the best venue of the World Cup Series by the International Federation and athletes.The venue is located within close proximity to a highly populated residential area, bringing an exciting event virtually to the public’s doorsteps.

CONTESTS & ACTIVITIES
Lucky Dip @ Redemption Booth (2 days) 11am - 5pm
HSBC Tissue packs will be distributed over the weekends before the event at different locations.
In the tissue pack, there is a sure-win lucky dip tear off. Those who fill in their particulars
and present it at our redemption booth will be entitled to a sure-win lucky dip.
Photography Contest @ Redemption Booth (2 days) 11am – 5.30pm
Snap the best shot of the wakeboarders in action
and stand a chance to win one out of five iPod Nanos!
Interested participants will sign up for this contest @ the Redemption Booth.
They have to submit their entries (3 photos 4R size) to Avivar for consolidation within a week of the event. Winner will be
notified thru phone.
Rules & Regulations of the contest will be found on the registration forms and contestants will have to abide to them strictly.
"Guess the Winner" Contest @ Redemption Booth
(2 days) 11am - 5pm on Sat & 11am - 3pm on Sun
A board with all the athletes’s names will be put up for the public to vote for who they think will win the HSBC Wakeboard World Cup 2005 – Singapore leg. The entry forms of the people that have voted correctly will then be thrown into a box and 2 winners will be picked out.
Prizes:
Win a CWB Wakeboard with bindings (worth S$1,400 each) for guessing the winner in the men's or women's category.

TRAVEL & AIRPORT
Athletes should make travel arrangements to fly to Singapore’s Changi International Airport,
voted the No. 1 Airport in the world. There are two terminals at the airport.

The Singapore Immigration and Registration has implemented various measures to facilitate visa applications
for entry to Singapore. For updated information, you may refer to the

AIRPORT TRANSFER

The airport is 14 km away from the Official Hotel

Invited athletes are requested to inform the SWWF of their arrival date,
time and flight number, etc., at least one week before their arrival so there
will be someone to meet you at the airport.

Meeting Point: A representative holding a placard with the “HSBC Wakeboard World
Cup Singapore 2005” logo will meet all invited representatives at the arrival gate,
and then provide escort to the shuttle bus provided by the Official Hotel.
Please do not leave the gate.

A representative may not be available to meet you at the airport if insufficient time is
given for arrangements to be made.
|

General: The Official Hotel provides complimentary airport shuttle bus from 7:00 am to 2:00 am
(every 30 minutes). Refer to the information counter or hotel reservation counter to locate the
shuttle if there is nobody there to meet you at the airport. |
